Why should believers not judge anything before the Lord comes?

Believers should not judge anything before the Lord comes because the Lord alone is the rightful judge and He alone can judge His servants. Scripture says to judge nothing before the time until the Lord comes, since only Jesus Christ could judge Paul; reward and recompense await the end.

Les explains that Paul had to defend his apostleship because some in Corinth said they followed Peter and treated Paul as a fake or imposter, since Peter had walked with Jesus for three years. Paul says he is judged by no man except Jesus Christ, the one who sent him as the apostle of the Gentiles. Therefore, since no one can judge Paul except the Lord who sent him, believers should judge nothing before the time until the Lord comes. Les notes that believers will not receive their reward until the end of time, and the lost will not receive their just recompense until the end of their time. The reason is that as believers go through this life, they are making impacts on people all around them.

1 Corinthians 4:5

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
