What happened to Saul after his conversion in Acts 9?
After his conversion in Acts 9, Saul was taken by God into the desert for three years. There God revealed to him the doctrines of grace associated with the Church—things previously kept secret. Saul, the chief of sinners, was saved as the pattern, at the head of the line.
Les explains that Saul's conversion in Acts 9 precedes the salvation of a house full of Gentiles in Acts 10. He emphasizes that if Cornelius had been saved in chapter 8, the order would fall apart. After Saul's conversion, God took him down into the desert for three years to reveal all the doctrines of grace associated with the Church, things that had been kept secret. Les also notes that God held these things from Peter and the eleven because God is sovereign.
