What does the Red Heifer in Israel indicate about Jewish expectations of the Messiah?

The Red Heifer's reappearance in Israel signals that Orthodox Jews are excited about the prospect of their Messiah coming soon. They expect Messiah to restore their Temple worship and remove the Muslim presence from the Temple Mount, peacefully or otherwise. However, the coming deliverer they expect will be the counterfeit Messiah, the Antichrist, not the true Messiah.

Les teaches that the Red Heifer in Israel is just another indication that Orthodox Jews are excited about the prospect of their Messiah soon coming. They believe that when Messiah comes, He will set things so they can have their Temple, and something will happen to the Muslims on the Temple Mount peacefully or otherwise. They are sure that when Messiah comes, they will have their Temple worship. Les points out that they will get their Temple worship, but it will not be the true Messiah; it will be the counterfeit Messiah, the Antichrist. He also notes the broader Jewish thinking: they insist Christ has not yet come, even though an Orthodox Jewish guide in Israel knew the Gospel accounts of Christ's earthly ministry better than most. They are still looking and think it is getting close; a Jew who knows his Old Testament will be quick to say the Messiah is coming soon. When asked what they look for in a Messiah, they say He is not God as Christians claim.
