What does Israel expect its Messiah to do for the nation?
According to the rabbi's article, Israel expects its Messiah to bring the nation to the peak of peace and prosperity. They do not want to keep that blessing for themselves; they want Messiah to bring Israel to the peak so she can funnel it out to all the other nations of the world.
Les explains that, like many in Israel lately, the rabbi writing in the Jerusalem Post is looking for their Messiah. The article says Israel expects the Messiah to bring the nation to the peak of peace and prosperity, but not to keep it for themselves. They want Messiah to bring Israel to that peak so she can funnel it out to all the other nations of the world. Les says when he read that, he just about screamed.
