Why does Satan want to get rid of the nation of Israel?
Satan seeks to eliminate Israel because all of God’s prophecies rest on the nation. If he can get rid of the Jew and the nation of Israel, then God cannot perform His prophecies, so Satan continually fights God’s dealings with Israel and stirs the world against it.
Les explains that as soon as God announced to Abraham that through this man He would bring out a separated people and deal with them, and that through this people would come a Redeemer of the whole human race, Satan immediately went into high gear to thwart the program of God. History shows Satan constantly fought God’s dealing with the nation of Israel. Les says that everything in Israel—their unbelief, attacks from the Gentile world—Satan does. Even today, the whole world is voting against the little nation of Israel and trying to push them tighter into a smaller area of Jerusalem. That is the Satanic ploy to get rid of the nation of Israel. If Satan can get rid of the Jew and the nation, God cannot perform His prophecies, because all the prophecies rest on Israel.
