Why does Satan want to wipe Israel off the scene today?
Satan now seeks to wipe Israel off the scene to disrupt God's prophetic program. Because he could not stop Israel from producing the Messiah, he aims to destroy the nation so the remaining prophecies cannot be fulfilled, which would leave prophecy hanging and make God's prophetic word appear false.
Les explains that historically Satan tried to thwart God's plan of redemption by destroying the people through whom the Redeemer must come. If Satan could disrupt God's plan for Israel, he would disrupt God's full plan of salvation. But since Israel still produced the Messiah, Satan has another goal: to disrupt God's prophetic program. Therefore the whole Satanic thrust against Israel today is to destroy them and wipe them off the scene so God's prophetic word cannot be fulfilled. That explains why Hitler turned against them and why the nations constantly bombard that little nation with accusations. Les also cautions that this does not make the Israeli government perfect or the Jew perfect; they are sons of Adam like everyone else, and their government can be corrupt.
