Why can't God perform His prophecies if Satan gets rid of the nation of Israel?
All prophecy rests on the nation of Israel. If Satan succeeded in eliminating the Jews and destroying Israel, God's prophetic promises would have no nation through which to be fulfilled. Satan's worldwide opposition to Israel is therefore an attempt to thwart God's program and prevent those prophecies from being performed.
Les explains that as soon as God announced to Abraham that He would bring out a separated people and that through this people would come a Redeemer of the whole human race, Satan immediately put everything in high gear to thwart God's program. History shows Satan constantly fought God's dealing with the nation of Israel, including their unbelief, attacks from the Gentile world, and even today's worldwide pressure against the little nation of Israel and Jerusalem. Les says this is the Satanic ploy to get rid of the nation of Israel, because if Satan can get rid of the Jew, then God cannot perform His prophecies—all the prophecies rest on Israel. The question is whether one can see Satan's ploy.
