Where was Paul when he wrote the book of Ephesians?
Paul wrote the book of Ephesians while imprisoned in Rome. It is one of the letters he wrote from prison, and in it he moves into the higher atmosphere of Christian doctrine, addressing the Body of Christ without reference to the Old Testament or the Jew.
Les teaches that Ephesians is one of the little letters Paul wrote from prison in Rome. He explains that this letter takes us into the higher atmosphere of Christian doctrine, or into the deeper waters. In Ephesians there is no more reference to the Old Testament, no more reference to the Jew, but it is higher ground—the Body of Christ territory. Les then reads Ephesians 1:10, which speaks of the dispensation of the fullness of time, gathering together all things in Christ, both in heaven and on earth, and notes that Gentile believers have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to God's purpose.
