Les Feldick Bible Study

Why does Les put the Bible verses on the screen instead of just saying what he thinks?

He puts the Scriptures on the screen so the authority rests on God's Word rather than on his own thoughts or anyone's claimed private revelation. Since the printed Word is now complete and available, the key question is not what a speaker says or thinks, but what the Book itself says.

Les explains that he has the camera constantly putting the Scriptures on the screen because that is the Word of God, not what someone supposedly received as a private revelation. He told the caller that it does not matter what he says or thinks; what matters is what the Book says. He prefers the Word of God on the screen to himself. In the early church, it took men with that kind of gift because they did not have the Word of God, but today the New Testament is complete and in such a format that anybody can read it. This is why he points people to the printed Scriptures rather than to men's words.
