Les Feldick Bible Study

Does God speak to us out loud?

The teaching states that God has never spoken audibly to the speaker; instead, He directs believers through open and closed doors. When a door closes, it signals God does not want that direction, and another opens. He also impresses His Word through prayer, revealing what He wants.

Les explains that he does not wait for God to say something out loud, and God has never talked to him out loud. He says maybe he has never gotten to that kind of ground, but God has never spoken audibly to him. Instead, Les says God talks to him through open and closed doors, directing exactly where He wants him. If something does not fly and the door closes, he should not push against it; he takes it as God not wanting him in that direction, and another open door appears. He should take that one. From the Word, the Word can impress him by prayer, and that is how we find the things God wants. He also warns against simply going to God and demanding a particular gift, saying the Bible does not permit that; we leave that up to the Holy Spirit.
