What concept about the Body of Christ do many people not understand?
Many do not understand that every true believer is a member of the Body of Christ. This doctrine is introduced by Paul and reaches its fullest expression in his present epistles, though Jesus never mentioned the Body of Christ during His earthly ministry.
Les explains that although the Body of Christ as a doctrine is brought to its fullest forte in the present epistles, Paul already introduces it in 1 Corinthians 12. The concept many fail to understand is that every true believer is a member of the Body of Christ. Les also points out that Jesus never once mentioned the Body of Christ. In contrast to great evangelistic campaigns or coliseums, the early believers were simply taught from the Word and became living testimonies wherever they went, turning the Roman Empire upside down. That same criteria applies to believers today.
