Les Feldick Bible Study

Where is the head of the Body of Christ, and what does that mean for believers?

The head of the Body of Christ is in Heaven, where the Head and nerve center are. Believers are members of that Head, so their citizenship is in Heaven. By one Spirit, the Holy Spirit baptizes every true believer into the Body of Christ, not just the most spiritual.

Les explains that the human body is one yet has many members, and all the members form one body; so also is Christ with the Body of Christ. He asks where control of fingers and toes lies—up at the head. Likewise, the Body of Christ has its Head in Heaven, and that is where the nerve center is. Because believers are now members of the Head, their citizenship is in Heaven. Les further teaches that this membership is not limited to the most spiritual or to those who have had an emotional upheaval; every true believer is a member of the Body of Christ because the Holy Spirit has baptized them into it.

1 Corinthians 12:12

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
