What is the Body of Christ and what is its end?

The Body of Christ is a unique group of believers, primarily Gentiles, whose position is heavenly rather than earthly. Paul's church letters are directed to this body. Its end is the rapture, when it will be lifted out from the earth, distinct from Israel's promised earthly kingdom.

Les teaches that during the time God dealt with Israel primarily as Jew only, Gentiles were destitute of the Word. Now Paul becomes the apostle of the Gentiles, and his church letters are directed primarily to Gentiles in the Body of Christ, whose position is heavenly. The earthly kingdom promised to Israel was rejected and funneled back into the mass of Gentile humanity, though the Jew remains a viable factor. In the meantime, the Body of Christ is a unique body or group of people, and its end is when it is raptured out.
