What is the Body of Christ and what will happen to it?
The Body of Christ is called out from among the Gentile world through the revelations given to Paul, based on Christ's finished work—His death, burial, and resurrection. One day this Body will be resurrected in total, and those alive and remaining will be changed.
Les teaches that the Body of Christ is this Body called out from among the Gentile world. Paul was raised up to go to the Gentile world with a whole different concept of salvation, based on the finished work of the cross: Christ died for our sins, His blood was shed, He was buried, and He rose from the dead for our justification. Les notes that you won't find that in Scripture until the revelations given to the Apostle Paul. He is building this whole concept of the Body of Christ from I Corinthians 15, and he turns to Romans chapter 12 to look up verses that reference this Body of Christ. He explains that this Body will one day be resurrected in total, and for those that are alive and remain, they will be changed, which he plans to look at later.
