Who is the head of the body of Christ?

Christ is the head of the body. Colossians 1:15-16 presents Him as the image of the invisible God, the visible manifestation of the true God, and the Creator of all things. His position is preeminent, and the body of Christ finds its head in Him alone.

Les teaches from Colossians chapter 1, verses 15 and 16, that this passage shows the preeminence of Christ's position. He explains that Christ is the image of the invisible God and the visible manifestation of the true God, not a created being or merely an offspring of God. Les points out that all things were created by Him, in heaven and earth, visible and invisible, including thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers. Therefore, as the head of the body, Christ holds supreme authority over all.
