What is the best thing I can do to be used by God?

The best thing you can do is simply present yourself to God as available, saying, 'Lord, here I am. Use me.' Then let Him direct you where He will use you, rather than demanding a specific gift. He guides through open and closed doors, prayer, and the Word, leaving the choice to the Holy Spirit.

Les explains that the greatest thing a believer can do is not to request a particular gift, but to tell the Lord, 'Here I am, I'm available, use me,' and let Him direct where He will use you. He shares that God does not usually speak audibly; instead, He guides through open and closed doors. If a door closes, don't push against it—take it as God not wanting you in that direction, and look for another open door. The Word and prayer also impress upon us what God wants. The Bible does not permit us to demand specific gifts; we leave that to the Holy Spirit, who gives gifts such as the word of wisdom, word of knowledge, and faith for the Church's needs.
