Can a housebound mother who is never seen in public still accomplish great things for God?

Yes. A housebound mother who is seldom seen in public can still accomplish great things for God. She can serve as a prayer warrior and, though unseen, accomplish more for God than many evangelists who move from pulpit to pulpit. Every believer has a unique role and place of service in the Body of Christ.

Les explains that in the Body of Christ every individual has a particular role, and every believer has been saved for a particular place of service. He gives the example of a dear lady who is never able to get out of her house and is very seldom seen by the public at large. She is a busy housewife and mother without the time or wherewithal to get out in public view. Yet she can be a prayer warrior, and she can accomplish more for God without ever being seen than many evangelists who go from pulpit to pulpit. Les emphasizes that every believer has that unique capability of serving God as He intended. He also notes that we are not to beg for or ask for a particular gift; it must be discerned and given as the Holy Spirit wills it, not as we determine it.
