Do you have to be a great spiritual giant to do the work God has for you?

No. Scripture teaches that a believer does not have to be a great spiritual giant, like some theologians appear to be, to do the work God has for them. God wants to use every believer, whether weak and a babe in Christ, still somewhat carnal, or further along and more spiritual.

Les explains that Paul wrote to the Corinthians so they would not become discouraged. Though they were carnal and still babes in Christ, they were laboring with the Eternal Sovereign God. Therefore, a person does not have to be the great spiritual giant some theologians seem to be in our eyes to do the work God has for us. God wants to use every last one of us, whether weak and a babe, perhaps a little carnal, or further up the ladder and more spiritual than average. Paul says they were laborers together, God's husbandry, and God's building, and the possessive term belongs to God. He owns everything and owns believers by the redemption price of His shed blood. The preaching of the cross brings people into this position, and God is our partner and overseer over all we say, think, and do.
