Did Paul get his gospel from the other apostles?
Paul did not receive his gospel from the other apostles. After his Damascus road encounter, God separated him from the Twelve, sent him to the desert, and revealed these doctrines directly to him; he later visited Peter for fourteen days but saw none of the other apostles.
Les explains that Paul’s gospel was not received from the other apostles. When God saved him on the road to Damascus, He did not send him back to Jerusalem to check in with the Twelve or become part of their ministry. Instead, God separated him from the Twelve, sent him into the back side of the desert, and revealed these doctrines to him. Paul later went through Jerusalem for fourteen days and visited with Peter, but he never saw any of the other apostles. He then began his ministry among the Gentiles, traveling west across Asia Minor into Greece, where Corinth is. What he delivered was what he received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures.
