Did Paul get his apostleship from the twelve apostles?

No. Paul’s apostleship and authority did not come from the twelve apostles or from any human relationship. He states that the gospel he preached was not after man, nor was he taught it by man; he received it by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Les teaches that Galatians 1:11–12 is Paul’s certification that the gospel he preached is not after man. Paul’s claim is apostleship and authority, and it was not because of any relationship with the twelve. He had totally broken with his Jewish past and became the bond slave of the resurrected and ascended Lord. Verse 12 says he neither received it of man, nor was taught it by man, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Les also points to 1 Corinthians 15, where the risen Christ was seen of Cephas, Peter, and then the twelve.

Galatians 1:11

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
