Which rod did God tell Moses to take to get water from the rock?

God told Moses to take his shepherd's rod, the same rod with which he had smitten the river in Egypt and turned it into blood. With that rod Moses was to smite the rock at Horeb, also called Mount Sinai, and water would come out for the people to drink.

Les teaches that when the people thirsted and murmured against Moses, complaining they had been brought out of Egypt only to die of thirst with their children and cattle, Moses cried unto the Lord, asking what he should do since they were almost ready to stone him. God instructed Moses to go before the people, take the elders of Israel and his shepherd's rod, the same rod with which he had smitten the river back in Egypt and made it turn into blood. God said He would stand before Moses upon the rock in Horeb, which Les notes is the same as Mount Sinai, and that Moses was to smite the rock with the shepherd's rod so water would come out for the people to drink. Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel, and Les points out they got enough water for all the Israelites and all their cattle, with enough left over that the neighbors started fighting for it.

Exodus 17:5

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
