What rod did Moses use to get water from the rock?

Moses used his shepherd's rod—the same rod he had used in Egypt to smite the river and turn it to blood. God instructed him to take that rod, stand at the rock in Horeb, and smite the rock, and water came out for the people and their cattle.

Les explains that the Israelites were thirsty and murmured against Moses, even threatening to stone him. Moses cried out to the Lord. God told Moses to take the elders of Israel and his shepherd's rod—the same rod he had used to smite the river in Egypt, turning it to blood. God said He would stand before Moses on the rock in Horeb, which is Mount Sinai. Moses was to smite the rock with that rod, and water would come out for the people to drink. Moses did so in the sight of the elders. The water was enough for all the Israelites and their cattle, with enough left over that neighbors fought over it.

Exodus 17:5

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go on before the people, and take with thee of the elders of Israel; and thy rod, wherewith thou smotest the river, take in thine hand, and go.
