What must Gentiles in the Age of Grace rest on, like Israel rested on the Passover blood?

Gentiles in the Age of Grace must rest on the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, being justified freely by God's grace. Just as Israel rested on the Passover lamb's blood, believers now rest on Christ's redemptive work, not their own ability to meet God's standard.

Les explains that just as the Israelites in Egypt rested on the blood of the lamb on the door, so Gentiles in this Age of Grace have something to latch on to and rest on. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God, separated from God and unable to meet His standard. But verse 24 says we can be justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Les ties this to Scripture's theme of redemption: Israel was God's covenant people but was lost in Egypt, and God bought them back through the blood of the Passover lamb. In the same way, today's redemption is in Christ Jesus.
