How did Paul receive the gospel that he preached?

Paul received the gospel he preached not from man or human teaching, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. When he saw Christ face to face, the Lord directly revealed to him the doctrines of grace given to this apostle.

Les teaches that Paul certifies the gospel he preached is not after man, for he neither received it of man nor was taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Les explains that when Paul saw Christ face to face, the Lord revealed these doctrines of grace to this apostle. Paul contrasts that divine revelation with his former manner of living in the Jews' religion as a Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin, where he persecuted the church of God and wasted it. He profited monetarily in that religion above many equals. Les points out that as the apostle and preacher of the age of grace, Paul would do the opposite, refusing to let anyone accuse him of getting rich by his ministry. Les notes we see much of that today and recalls a high school friend who thought the ministry was easy money.

Why does Paul say the gospel he preached is "not after man" if it was the same gospel Jesus and Peter preached?

Paul deliberately says "the gospel which is preached of me," and that wording identifies his gospel specifically, which raises the question of why he adds "not after man" if he preached the same gospel as Jesus and Peter.
