How did Paul receive the gospel he preached?
Paul received the gospel he preached not from man, nor was he taught it. He explicitly says the gospel came by the revelation of Jesus Christ. He did not go up to Jerusalem after his conversion to be taught by those who had been with Jesus.
Les explains in Galatians chapter 1 that Paul certifies the gospel he preached is not after man. Paul neither received it of man nor was he taught it. He did not go back to Jerusalem after his conversion asking the apostles who had been with Jesus for three years to teach him. Instead, Paul got what he knew by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Les points out this is the difference between revelation and instruction.
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
