Do we need to share Scripture to win lost people after God opens their heart?

Yes. Scripture teaches that no one can be won until the Lord opens their heart, but once He does, believers must be present with the truth of Scripture. God chose to leave His Word with human beings, not angels, so believers share it as ambassadors for Christ to bring people to reconciliation with God.

Les explains that there is nothing believers can do to win a lost person until the Lord opens their heart. After that opening, however, we have to be there with the truth of Scripture. God has seen fit to leave His Word in the hands of human beings, not angels; He did not appoint angels to do His evangelization but left it in the hands of believers to share these things. As Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5, we are ambassadors for Christ, serving our home government in a foreign environment, and we are to bring people to a reconciliation with God. In Romans 6, Les further notes that we cannot do anything in ourselves; it must be a work of God, such as placing old Adam on the cross.
