Who is the believer's Advocate with the Father when they sin?

The believer’s Advocate with the Father is Jesus Christ, the righteous One. When a believer sins, He immediately comes to the Father and says the believer is under the blood, taking up the case on their behalf. God does not encourage sin, but He knows believers will sin.

Les explains that John is writing to believers, not to the unsaved world, and says, “My little children, these things I write unto you that you sin not.” God never encourages the believer to sin, but being omniscient and the Creator, He knows believers will sin. The old Adam is so powerful that even though believers reckon him dead, he pops up and gets his licks in. If any man sin, the believer has an Advocate with the Father: Jesus Christ, the righteous One. Les pictures what happens in heaven when a believer sins: immediately the Advocate comes to the Father and says the believer is under the blood, picking up the case on our behalf.
