How do we know God is dwelling in us if we don't feel Him?
Assurance that God dwells within the believer rests on faith in Scripture's declaration, not on emotional sensation. Even when a person does not feel Him move in or move around within, He is present because the Book says He is. Believers, including the carnal Corinthians, are called temples of the living God.
Les teaches that God Himself dwelling in this body is a completely new doctrine in Scripture. It is not found in the Old Testament, Jesus does not teach it, and Peter does not teach it; only Paul teaches it. This concept must be taken by faith. If you did not feel Him move in, and you do not feel Him moving around in you, He is still there because the Book says He is. Even the carnal Corinthians, who were not spiritual giants and were still on the milk bottle, were temples of the living God.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
