Les Feldick Bible Study

Can we understand how the Holy Spirit dwells in believers?

No, it is a concept beyond human comprehension. The Bible teaches that the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, indwells the believer, and this is accepted by faith. Through that indwelling Spirit, God searches the heart, and the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to God's will.

Les teaches that the Spirit is in us—a person of the Godhead dwelling in me—which we cannot understand, but we take it by faith that the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, is indwelling the believer. Through that Holy Spirit, God searches the heart of the believer, because the Spirit maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Les notes this does not leave out the Son; all three are involved: the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf to the Son, and the Son intercedes on our behalf to the Father. He calls it fantastic.
