What is our role as believers under God's sovereignty?

Believers, already saved by grace through faith plus nothing, serve as God's worker bees under His sovereignty. They work not for salvation but for reward, enhancing His Kingdom and bringing honor and glory to His Name. Like runners in a race, they run to obtain the prize.

Les explains that most of Christendom thinks you must work to attain salvation, but Scripture says you work absolutely not at all for salvation; it is all of grace by faith plus nothing. Once a person has entered that salvation experience, God expects believers to work for reward. The purpose of that work is to enhance His work, enhance the Kingdom, and bring honor and glory to His Name. Les says He is still the Sovereign God and believers are still His little worker bees. Paul illustrates this in I Corinthians 9:24 with the Olympics: all runners run, but one receives the prize; believers are to run that they may obtain—not salvation, which they already attained by faith, but reward.
