Does God always do things the way we think He should?
No. God does not always act according to human expectations. Even when His ways differ from what we think they should be, He remains sovereign and in control. That sovereignty does not cancel the reality that believers are laborers together with Him.
Les explains that a lot of times God doesn't necessarily do it the way we think He should, but nevertheless He is sovereign and in control. Even if we are a little bit on the carnal side, as the Corinthians were, that doesn't cancel out the fact that we are still laborers with God. Les emphasizes this in the Corinthian study to encourage those who are not spiritual giants. He illustrates being hooked up with the Creator God Himself, able to feed on His promises day in and day out. He also shares how reading Watchman Nee on true spirituality made him feel far beneath such a man and almost discouraged him.
