What did Jesus tell the twelve disciples to look for when they asked about the sign of His coming and the end of the age?

When the twelve disciples asked Jesus about the sign of His coming and the end of the age, He did not tell them to look for globalism or the Antichrist. Instead, He said, “Don’t be deceived.” That warning points to mass deception in the closing days, when people will use God’s Word deceptively.

Les explains that in Matthew 24 the twelve disciples approached Jesus and asked, “What is the sign of your coming in the end of the age?” Jesus did not say, “Look for globalism, and look for the Antichrist.” He said, “Don’t be deceived.” Les teaches that if Jesus says this, it follows that the closing days will bring mass deception—people using the Word of God deceptively. He says we see this on every hand. He connects it to Jude, saying that book was written to prepare believers not to be deceived by good-sounding stuff. He gives the example of a gentleman who was gradually sucked into the New Age movement, became a well-known author, and then the Lord opened his eyes, saved him, and brought him out.

Matthew 24:3

Matthew 24:4

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
