What should you do when you have Bible knowledge but no opportunity to use it?
Wait. God will give you the opening in His own time. A man with deep Bible knowledge asked why God gave him no chance to use it; the counsel was to wait, and eventually God provided an opportunity through shortwave radio to teach many men.
Les teaches that when a believer has accumulated Bible knowledge but no apparent opportunity to use it, the proper response is to wait rather than force a door open. He illustrates this with a young man from North Carolina who had ordered all the tapes and books, became a rabid student, and could rehearse Genesis to Revelation over the phone. The man asked why God would not give him a chance to use his knowledge, and Les counseled, 'just wait, just wait.' Later the man called, excited, having become a shortwave radio operator. He then had a whole class of men listening, up to 20-25, as he taught the Scriptures over shortwave. Les concludes, 'see, I told you, you wait and God will give you the opening.'
