Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens when I share a word with someone and it seems to amount to nothing?

The word you share is not wasted. Like a seed planted or a message in a bottle cast into the ocean, it goes out and accomplishes something, then comes back one day. You may not see results in this life, but you will find out about it someday.

Les teaches that Paul was thrown in prison, dragged out as dead, and stoned, yet he never quit preaching the simple gospel. Paul's speech and preaching were not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power. People said his speech was contemptible; he was not a polished orator like Apollos or the Greek philosophers, but the Spirit of God overcame that. Les says it is the same way with every one of this: you may drop a word to someone and think it will never amount to anything, but like old B.C.'s bottle thrown into the ocean, it goes out, accomplishes something, and one day comes back. Maybe not in this life, but you will find out about it someday. All we have to do is plant a seed once in a while.
