Les Feldick Bible Study

What happens to a word you share with someone when you think it will never amount to anything?

The word you share still goes out and accomplishes something. It is not wasted. Like a message in a bottle or a planted seed, it will come back one day, though maybe not in this life. You will find out about it someday.

Les explains that Paul’s speech and preaching were not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power. Even though Paul’s speech was called contemptible and he was not a polished orator, the Spirit of God overcame that. Les applies this to every believer: you may drop a word to someone and think it will never amount to anything, but like old B.C.’s message in a bottle thrown into the ocean, it goes out, accomplishes something, and one day comes back. All we have to do is plant a seed once in a while. It may not come back in this life, but you will find out about it someday.
