What is waiting for believers when they enter into His presence?
Believers can expect glorious things awaiting them when they enter His presence: joy unspeakable, righteousness, and music unlike anything mortal ear has heard. What lies ahead is far better than this life, and shrinking from death or the rapture will seem regrettable because those prepared things are so much better.
Les explains that this primary thing supersedes anything else in Christendom, and other things follow in their rightful place. Believers are to grow in grace, knowledge of the word, works and activities for the Lord's business, giving, and witnessing; this is why we are left here. If God took us at salvation, it would be far better, yet we shrink from it. Paul, after seeing things in glory, spoke of what has not been seen or heard, prepared for them that love it. Les thinks glorious things await us, and someday, if we have that kind of memory, we will be sorry we shrank from death or the rapture, because what is ahead is so much better: glorious, joy unspeakable, righteousness, and music like mortal ear has never heard, all awaiting us once we enter into His presence.
