What happens after believers receive their reward in the Lord's presence?
After believers enter the Lord's presence and receive their reward, their corruptible bodies become incorruptible. They then prepare to come back and become active participants in the kingdom. The kingdom is now in heaven, but one day it will come to earth, and believers, already members of it, will be part and parcel of it.
Les teaches that believers have the firstfruits of the Spirit and groan within themselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of the body. The redemption of soul and spirit is already concluded, but the body is still corruptible; it will suddenly become incorruptible when we go up into the Lord's presence, receive our reward, and get ready to come back and become active participants in the kingdom. He also points to Colossians 1:12, where Paul gives thanks to the Father who has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance. Les explains that believers today are already members of the kingdom, which is presently in heaven, but one day that kingdom of heaven will come on the earth, and we will be part and parcel of it because we are already in it.
