Are Jews and Gentiles different spiritually when it comes to needing salvation?
No. On the spiritual level, a Jew is absolutely no different from a Gentile. Both are sinners in need of saving grace. The Jew has no special privilege to the Gospel and no position that puts him in a better place. He is just as much in need of the plan of salvation as any Gentile.
Les explains that on the spiritual level the Jew is absolutely no different from a Gentile tonight. He is a sinner in need of saving grace just as well as a Gentile, with no special privilege to the Gospel and no position that puts him in a better place. He is just as much in need of the plan of salvation as any Gentile. Les adds that even though they are not under the covenant promises tonight, they are still sinners in need of salvation, and God sovereignly watches over them nationally. Otherwise they would have disappeared through assimilation or been annihilated by other Hitlers. He illustrates this with a cherished snapshot of Iris sitting and watching their three little kids at the seashore.
It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
