Do all believers have the same spiritual gift?

No. Believers are many members of one body, and Romans 12:6 says gifts differ according to the grace given. God controls gift-giving and imparts each believer’s particular gift, whether great or small, as He builds the body. They are not all given the same gift.

Les teaches that within the body of Christ there are differing gifts. Some members are unseen and unknown, like the little toe, yet they are important members of the body. Others are more visible, like Billy Graham and famous evangelists, but they are not more important. Romans 12:5 says believers are many yet one body, and verse 6 says gifts differ according to the grace given. God is in control of gift-giving; He imparts each particular gift, great or small, as He builds the body. In that setting, prophecy meant speaking forth the Word of God through gifted men, since the New Testament had not yet come together.
