Who receives spiritual gifts—only certain Christians or every believer?
Scripture teaches that every member of the Body of Christ receives spiritual gifts, from the greatest to the least. Ephesians 4 says grace is given to every one of us according to the measure of the gift of Christ, so spiritual gifts are not limited to only certain Christians.
Les teaches from Ephesians 4 that the gifts of the Spirit are given to every believer in the Body of Christ, "from the greatest to the least." Verse 7 says every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ, and when Christ ascended He gave gifts unto men. Les then lists the gifted men given to the Church—some apostles and prophets, who faded away after the Apostolic Age and once the printed Word came, and some evangelists, pastors, and teachers.
But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
