Why is the elect remnant of Israel beloved by God?

The elect remnant of Israel is beloved by God because of their forefathers—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and so on. God repeatedly returns to His love for the patriarchs when dealing with their offspring, and His gifts and calling are without a change of mind.

Les explains that God constantly goes back to the patriarchs and His love for them when He deals with their offspring. Paul is saying the election, that remnant of Israel, which God is still preparing for end-time events, is beloved because of their forefathers—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and so on. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance; repentance here means a change of mind, a change of thinking, not weeping in sorrow for sin. When it comes to God's dealing with Israel, He has not changed His mind, and this goes back to Genesis 12.
