How will the remnant of Israel be saved?
At Christ's second coming, the remnant of Israel, protected in the mountains southeast of Jerusalem for three and a half years, will finally become believers as a nation by recognizing their coming Messiah, even though it is His second time. They will then be the seed stock and beginning of the nation of Israel.
Les explains that at the midpoint of the Tribulation a whole remnant of Israel went down into the mountains southeast of Jerusalem, as Jesus Himself spoke of in Matthew 24. For three and a half years God will protect and care for them, even as He did Israel during the 40 years in the wilderness. Then at His second coming they finally become believers, the nation as a whole, and they will be the seed stock of the nation of Israel. This remnant will be saved by recognizing their coming Messiah now, even though it is the second time, and they will be the beginning of the nation of Israel. Coming into the Kingdom with Christ ruling and reigning as King, these saved Israelites join Gentile believers who survived the Tribulation, and this thousand-year period will see tremendous population increase.
