What place has the Gentile system been put into by God's grace?
By God’s grace, the Gentile system has been placed into the same position Israel enjoyed under the Old Testament. Gentiles now rest on Abraham’s root and feast on the promises God made to him, receiving the Gospel and equal opportunity for salvation and relationship with God.
Les explains that God promised Abraham blessing would extend to all the rest of the world, but He could not bless Israel and the Gentiles in that same place at the same time. Therefore Israel was set aside and broken off from the fatness of the root of Abraham, and the Gentile system was put by God’s grace into the place Israel enjoyed in the Old Testament. This does not make Gentiles Jews; they are merely feasting on what God promised Abraham. As the Gentile system feasts on the blessings of the Father of Israel, the Gospel has gone to the Gentile, giving him just as much opportunity at salvation and a relationship with God as Israel had.
