Are the Old Testament covenant promises to Israel still coming?
Yes, the Old Testament covenant promises to Israel are still coming. They have been withheld for almost 2,000 years, but God has not forgotten them. Their fulfillment remains future, awaiting Israel's fullness and the coming of their King. This is the hope that remains for the nation.
Les explains that Israel has been trying to assimilate into the Gentile nations and become just another member of the family of nations, but God says they are a separated people. They haven't learned their lesson, and they are backing themselves into a corner. One day soon, Israel will have no hope except the coming of their King, and He will come. First, they will accept the false king, the Antichrist, as Jesus warned in John's Gospel. But what is left for the nation is their fullness. All the fulfilling of those Old Testament covenant promises is still coming; they've been withheld for almost 2,000 years, but God hasn't forgotten them. They're still coming.
