What happens when Israel tries to assimilate and become just another member of the family of nations?

As Israel tries to assimilate and become just another member of the family of nations, they dig themselves deeper into a hole and become backed into a corner. Ultimately, they will have no hope except the coming of their king, though they will first embrace the false king, the Antichrist.

Les explains that Israel wants its economy to mesh with the European common market and to compete with the Gentile nations, but God says they are a separated people and have not learned their lesson. As they try to assimilate and become just another member of the family of nations, they get deeper and deeper into the hole they are digging for themselves and are backed into a corner. Soon they will have no hope except the coming of their king. Yet they will accept the false king first—the Antichrist. Jesus said in John’s Gospel that He came in His name and they rejected Him, but another will come in his name and they will embrace him. Jewish people describe a Messiah with military, economic, and charismatic superman qualities, which describes the Antichrist. What is left for the nation is their fullness; the Old Testament covenant promises are still coming, withheld for almost 2,000 years, but God has not forgotten them.
