What was the primary advantage of the Jewish people?

The primary advantage was that the Jewish people were entrusted with the oracles of God—the Word of God. Paul writes in Romans 3:1-2 that they had much advantage every way, but chiefly because God committed His Word to them, which they possessed for centuries.

Les explains that Israel had every opportunity to know the will of God and had all things going for them, but the primary advantage was that God committed His Word—the oracles of God—to them. Because they had the Word of God for centuries and yet ignored it and refused to believe it, God dealt with their unbelief severely.

Romans 3:2
