What do many Christians believe about God's relationship with Israel after the crucifixion?
A large segment of Christendom believes God was completely finished with the Jewish people after the crucifixion. They hold that He turned His back on Israel, ceased dealing with them because they supposedly cried for His crucifixion, and that the Old Testament prophecies and promises consequently fell through the cracks.
Les explains that this view flies in the face of Romans chapter 11 and is held by about 90% of Christendom. According to that premise, God was all through with the Jew when Israel supposedly cried for the crucifixion of Christ, God turned them out and turned His back on them, and is through with the Jew. Consequently, all Old Testament prophecies and promises fell through the cracks because God is no longer dealing with them. Les adds that if they take that approach, they must tear Romans 11 out and throw it away.
