Why are most people today ignorant that we are in the end times?
Most people today remain ignorant that we are in the end times because they choose to remain ignorant. They do not have to be, but they are. Many do not even understand the topic when it is discussed, even though the signs of Christ's coming, the tribulation, and the Antichrist's appearance are approaching.
Les explains that everyone should know we are in the end time, approaching the coming of Christ, the tribulation, and the appearance of the Antichrist in the world government. Yet most people do not even know what is being discussed. The reason given is that they choose to remain ignorant; they do not have to be, but they are. He connects this to Paul's admonition to believers at Rome not to be ignorant that God has dropped spiritual blindness on the nation of Israel. The individual Jew can still have his eyes opened and believe, but nationally Israel is blinded. In Romans 11:7, Israel did not obtain what they were looking for; the election—the few Jews who believed—obtained it, and the rest were blinded. They missed their king because he came on a lowly donkey rather than with pomp and power, and that blindness remains to this day.
