Does a Jewish person today come to God on a different basis than a Gentile?

No. Scripture declares there is no difference today: a Jewish person must approach God on the same basis as a Gentile. Paul’s teaching in Romans 3 establishes that the Jew has no separate path to God in the present age.

Les explains that Romans 10 deals with how God treats Israel today, and he points back to Romans 3 where Paul said there is no difference. Today a Jew has to approach God on the same basis Gentiles do. Les then says Romans 11 concerns Israel’s future: God is not through with the nation, and Israel’s covenant promises will yet be fulfilled, but that cannot happen until God is through dealing with the Gentile church. In Romans 9, dealing with Israel’s past, Paul cites Hosea’s prophecy that God will call them His people who were not His people. This connects to Acts, where a great consul was trying to settle the controversy over Paul going to Gentiles, while the Jewish believers in Jerusalem thought he was way out in left field.
