Does most of the church believe God is finished with Israel?

Yes, the largest part of Christendom—including Roman Catholics, Protestants, and many other groups—has set Israel aside, believing God is through with the nation. They hold that God turned to the church with Israel’s promises because He was finished with that covenant nation.

Les teaches that the largest part of Christendom, including Roman Catholics, Protestants, and many of our friends’ groups, refuses to accept that God is not through with Israel. Most have set Israel aside, and even back in the Reformation were basically anti-Semitic, accusing Israel of being Christ killers. They concluded God had turned to the church with all the promises given to Israel because He was through with that little covenant nation. But Les says, don’t believe it: Scripture is adamant that even though God set Israel aside for 2,000 years, He will one day bring them back to the land and pick up where He left off with His covenant people.
